Announcing Fiendish Fan-Made Fridays

So this week we are going to start something new at Sidekick Quests. For a long time I’ve had an idea for the Roleplaying Game portion of this site that involved an entire “monster manual” type tome filled with creatures that kids make themselves. What better fiends to fight than the crazy and fun beasties that only kids could invent. With that in mind I begin Fiendish Fan-Made Fridays! Starting today I’ll will be accepting submissions for monsters made by kids. I want to know the monster’s name, how it attacks, how it moves, what it’s weakness is and especially what it looks like. I’ve created an interactive PDF that can be filled out on the computer or printed out, filled out and scanned back in. If you are a parent please see if your child would be interested in adding to the world of Sidekick Quests. If you are a kid yourself then you already are chock full of cool creatures ideas. Go ahead and share one with me. Each Friday I will post a stat blocked monster sheet with profile pic featuring one of these monsters. The creator will be properly credited and their original answers and drawing will also be posted.

Interested?

Great!

Click on this link to download your SidekickQuests_fff_requestform, fill it out with your monster info and name and send it and a drawing of your monster to me, James Stowe, at stowe@cartoonistsleague.org.

If you can’t get the PDF to work or don’t have a scanner that is okay too… just have your child email me the answers and a picture (or no picture at all) at stowe@cartoonistsleague.org and I will do my best to visualize their fiendish creature for them!

I really can’t wait to see what you kids out there come up with!
